about
One of the worst consequences of sin is remembering. Guilt and shame can haunt us to death, silently making us feel unworthy of God's attention. But, there is now NO condemnation for anyone who trusts Jesus. He became our sin and then killed it on the cross. We are free and holy through Him. We can never be ashamed!
lyrics
VERSE 1
Head down, chest sunk, shoulders looking weak/
You can hear the body language, ain’t a good week/
Just found out his HIV is undetectable/
Against the guilt and shame, his heart is unprotected though/
And they could never understand/
Although it was never planned, he had desires for a man/
Busy browsing on the internet, triple W to triple X/
His counterparts were watching strangers having sex/
Straight abusing on themselves, they were blind and called it pleasure/
Now their eyes are open, they see that’s a marriage wrecker/
Both will hide behind doors closed, though they left those ways of old/
There’s nobody else that knows, and they fear they’ll be exposed/
The monster at his back, dark cloud at his heels/
Man I wrote this song to let you know that Jesus heals/
To make you new and save you is the reason why He came/
You’re a new creation, ain’t no need to be ashamed/
HOOK
I can move on all my sin is washed away/
Romans 9:33 I can never be ashamed/
I will not feel guilt if I trust in His name/
Isaiah 8:14 I can never be ashamed/
I can never be ashamed (I can never be ashamed)/ (4x)
VERSE 2
Belly flat, flat line, walking to her car/
The clinic said it wouldn’t hurt, it wouldn’t leave a scar/
Wrong, her soul hurts like the Dickens/
There’s the mark of something missing, painful with no baby kicking/
Killing, she holds the weight of an assassin, not placid/
Though she chose to follow Jesus all these feelings still ain’t passing/
Move it to another, fornicated under covers/
Carried all the way through birth and, the father just deserted/
Failure in her judgment, destruction by her hand/
Eyes are on her band of children, brought but with no wedding band/
And she’s doing what she can, ends are vegan, they ain’t meating/meeting /
Though she chose to follow Jesus all these feelings still ain’t leaving/
The monster at her back, dark cloud at her heels/
Man I wrote this song to let you know that Jesus heals/
To make you new and save you is the reason why He came/
You’re a new creation, ain’t no need to be ashamed/
VERSE 3
Jesus hanging on the cross, bleeding, frame bent/
The bible says it was that moment He became sin/
He was a porn addiction, abortion, gender switching/
Drug and human trafficking, and simply Godless living/
So when the blood spilled, He took the death sentence/
For people paltry in piety, He was paying penance/
He died, and then He rose back to life/
And gave us clothes of His righteousness/
We all in this life exist/
His name’s the highest name, He gets the highest praise/
If that’s the life you claim, then leave behind dismay/
The past is over, Jesus heals, Jesus frees/
When the Father looks at you, Jesus Christ is all He sees/
What He see ain’t what you see, you see where you’re coming from/
But I hope you see He sees you for the person you’ll become/
Ain’t no need for feeling guilt, failure, or disgrace in Jesus/
You’re perfect through Him, so tell the shame to beat it/
