I’m bout to lift the lid and spit about my can of worms/
These little issues take their victims like the sickness germs/
See my whole life I trained and strived to be perfect in work/
And in my eyes, if my work was perfect, then that’s my worth/
It doesn’t work/
Cuz I feel I ain’t good enough if I ain’t number 1, I watched it crush my world/
I never had the kind of dough that kept up with the Jones’/
The flyest clothes, a car I rode in to get chicks to notice/
I got social raucous, between two worlds I feel stuck cuz/
I’m not African enough, but then too African for others/
So when I’m around some brothers or some people of my mothers/
They the furthest thing from friends, and not anything like some lovers/
And I struggle with my image, what’s my body fat percentage/
How I’ve grown to hate my skin and my blemishes in my complexion/
The effects of cancer lessened, but I’m stuck here with this deafness/
Got me guessing, where’s the blessing, so I’m looking up to heaven like/

It’s getting crazy seems like daily satan lies to me/
What makes it worse is he mixes lies with reality/
I look around and see my situation doesn’t change/
He says they’ll never change, nobody will come to save/
He tells me someone else is better, that’s who God will use/
What if I had their talent, if only I can choose/
Inadequate, rejected, cycle I want out of this/
No, no I’m sure of it, this can’t be what the Gospel is/
You say I ain’t good enough, well I agree, oh yeah you right/
That’s why I’m daily dying and relying on my Savior Christ/
Psalms 139 said that He carefully was forming me/
He knows all my weakness, and He’ll never be exploiting me/
To me His thoughts are precious, I’m convinced I’m on His mind/
I don’t even care what people say, cuz I know He handles mine
I trust You and not my insecurities, you make me comfortable
It’s so for all Your works, and my soul knows you made me wonderful
